The S.C. Research Authority is planning to build a $4.5 million high-tech business incubator in downtown Columbia, SC. (link to article) It is not likely that we will ever be saying that there are too many “incubators” in a community. Places that foster innovation and creativity to help small businesses grow will always be welcomed. The KnowledgeEconomy continues to grow as more and more businesses want to locate near top-notch education and research institutions such as USC.
